To be able to be even playing in an NFC championship game, with the support of all the fans, and the kind of outdoor environment that I dreamed about when I first got involved with the Seahawks, its just so rewarding and heart warming.

It was like an away game for us, there's no question about that. But if there were 90 percent Steelers fans and 10 percent Seahawks fans, I thought at least the Seahawks fans were just as loud, if not louder at times. I give those Seahawks fans a lot of credit. They did a great job.

I like playing in this kind of environment with all the fans going crazy. But that's not what decided this game. They just outplayed us. We were struggling the whole game and we didn't do anything until the fourth quarter.

I just want to win the Sugar Bowl. It's the national championship game. I guess there could be a split, but me personally, I don't really want to get involved in all of that. Pittsburgh may outnumber us in fans, but nobody has the heart and soul that a Seahawks fan has.

It was a great environment for a hockey game. The fans were terrific. It felt like a playoff game. The crowd was into it. It was nice to see such great support from the fans. I thought right from the outset the building was electric.

We have a lot of people come up to us and thank us for just coming to school there and playing basketball after the year they had before we got there. When we started, it was 4,000 (fans per game), and now, our arena is up to 14,000. It's just tremendous to have that kind of fan support.

This decision will now give a chance for players to experience intense competition and an opportunity to hone core skills in an international environment to both support and have a positive effect on our outdoor game.

This game has more of a championship environment to it. It means a little more in the Atlantic Conference and it gives the fans a chance to see who has the best team right now as of the halfway point.

We always want to do what is best for our fans, and I know a number of them want to see the national championship game. I hope this allows them to come support us in our Big 12 opener against an outstanding Oklahoma team and also see the football game.

One of my most rewarding experiences as an engineer was in performing some of the design for the Pentagon renovation prior to the Sept. 11 attacks, and then providing engineering support to the rebuilding effort. Some of the renovations completed before 9-11 were credited in helping to save lives during the attack. We were all saddened by the attack, and my efforts were a small piece of a very large puzzle, but it was rewarding to be involved.

In order for the game to come back to Leominster the facility is going to have to be deemed a completely safe environment to all involved ... fans, bands, players, coaches, everybody.

Hopefully that's the case. I know this team's played in the championship game before and there's been a lot of great Seahawks teams and players. Not to take anything away from them.
