We hope to get some bigger donations of money and materials, like lights, fence, etc., now that folks know we are really going through with building the park,

At the time we were planning the building, ... Joyce wanted to include a sensory park. But the budget wouldn't let us do both projects, so we agreed to work on the park when there was money to do so.

We had two hurricanes that made a big impact on the prices of building materials, especially petroleum-based roofing materials.

In T-Y Park [Hollywood], they put it along the fence and it smells so good for so long. But it's not an area where people walk. The Renaissance Festival at Quiet Waters Park [Deerfield Beach] also uses the mulch in February. They put it around the edges of the grounds.

At Willard Bay they have Christmas lights throughout the park and people circle through. More visitors means more money. We need destination visitors, we probably aren't going to get much more out of the locals, we need more tourism. We need to break down the barriers.
