en If you're going to see a benefit from the stadium, it's going to come from Ballpark Village.

en It's a great experience to play here, ... I just wish it was Fulton County [Stadium]. I don't know what it is about Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium. I guess maybe [I like it] because it's the first stadium I went to. Plus, I like those circle stadiums. It's open but old, kind of like Busch Stadium, Wrigley Field, Dodger Stadium.

en It gets back to usage. Those fields that have very limited use can probably keep the grass growing. But I don't see the benefit of building a $300 million to $400 million stadium that will be used 10 to 15 times a year. That's where it makes sense.

en He, by himself, is credited with being able to keep the fans in the ballpark in Dodger Stadium until the ninth inning. I think the season standings speak for themselves when he's there and when he's not there. He wasn't there last year, and you saw what happened.

en Every day I went to the ballpark in Yankee Stadium as well as on the road people were on my back. The last six years in the American League were mental hell for me. I was drained of all my desire to play baseball.

en Major League Baseball wants to see a resolution to the stadium situation. They didn't discuss specific actions they might take. They're interested in seeing the ball move forward on a ballpark.

en Certainly the development is allowing the business park to become a reality. Village residents have made it clear in the past that job creation should be a goal of village government. So we feel this is an opportunity to pursue that and at the same time improve the value of the village of Biron, which will allow for lower taxes in the future.

en You've been to Yankee Stadium when it's got a certain buzz to it, right? ... Well, that's what Houston is like now. Roger has made Houston like an American League East ballpark.

en We think big Black Rock has to be built. If it's $4 billion, it's $4 billion. Let's get on with it. I wear a Mariner hat and I get over to that ballpark in Seattle sometimes. I don't think that stadium got put up without state help, and it's not cheap.

en They say it takes a village to raise a child, and it takes a church to raise the village. Today, I come home as the child that village raised, to be mayor of the village.
