New York must also promote a diversified fuel supply for electric generation. We have had a de-facto policy of having natural gas as the only acceptable fuel source for twenty years. Excessive reliance on any one fuel leads to problems with price and supply security, as is now occurring with natural gas.

We think it is. After years of industry consolidation and tight financial conditions, uranium exploration has suffered and there will be a time lag, perhaps as long as five to seven years, before the supply side can fully respond. Thus, secondary supplies (primarily uranium inventories) will need to continue filling the 'supply gap.' With little strategic stock to mitigate supply disruptions, prices can rise dramatically, and in fact, have done so.

However the natural gas industry in Texas and the Gulf Coast don't want that thing built. We have plenty of natural gas up north - we should have pushed to get it down here.

We expect severe price spikes over the next two years following years of underinvestment by the industry, unexpected demand shocks from China and other emerging economies, supply disruptions to existing mines and a lack of response in bringing on new supply.

You can now buy TVs at supermarkets and office superstores, not to mention Costco and Wal-Mart.

LNG is poised to become a much larger portion of our natural gas supply mix over the next several years. It is important that our Transco pipeline provide its customers with access to growing LNG and domestic supply options, particularly along the Gulf Coast.

Diversification of supply is a critical component of the natural gas equation. There is no question that Europe and European gas supply security are highly dependent on supplies of natural gas from Russia.

I am quite sure that our views on evolution would be very different had biologists studied genetics and natural selection before and not after most of them were convinced that evolution had occurred.

Since they had been growing in previous years and the state as a whole grew rapidly last year, these declines were clearly caused by hurricanes.

Attackers are going to start looking at gaming platforms because more and more of these devices are becoming interconnected. It's an evolution that we think has been coming for some time. The sky isn't falling, but it's certainly a natural evolution.
