en It's like, you pay for your electricity and your water and other utilities as you use it, well that makes perfect sense. If you're going to use the road, it might cost you a bit, but if you don't want to use the road, you don't have to. I think that's a very logical way to pay for the construction of a new road.

en We like Congress to know that Lafayette-West Lafayette is a vital community and a contributing community. We have concerns to express and needs to set forth, and they've been articulated well in locally prepared papers. Only by communicating regularly can we expect to be heard.

en We are excited with our start and going 2-0 on the road to start conference play. It was impressive that we could go to Lafayette where they had their 22-game winning streak and dominate.

en Traffic was re-routed to surrounding arterial roads leading into the city and these roads were congested due to the increase of road users,

en Following Katrina, we went over to Lafayette to help. They were keeping animals at Blackham Coliseum. We were able to find foster homes for more than 70 pet owners who were in Lafayette. All of those animals eventually went back to their original owners.

en Improving a two and three land road to a better three lane road doesn't get you that big capacity improvement. The conclusion is we need a five lane facility and that's what we're going to build.
