[Jones is] the best ordsprog

en [Jones is] the best tackle in the game, hands down. A lot of offensive tackles are good at one thing, like pass protection. But what makes him better than anyone else is you've got to bring your 'A' game against his run-blocking, too. He has no weaknesses. You've got to bring it every snap against him.

en He's the best tackle in the game, hands down. The thing that makes him better than anyone else is that he isn't just a great pass blocker. You've got to bring your A-game against his run blocking, too. He's everything you look for in a tackle.

en You do take him for granted. He's very quiet, but his technique is fantastic. His sets are the same every time. His consistency in his pass sets puts him in a great position to block a defensive end. Angles are everything; pass sets are everything. He uses his hands well. You see him every day after practice taking extra sets. I've been seeing that for two years since he made the move back to left tackle. He's physical; he's tough; looks bigger and stronger. When you watch Marvel Smith play the game, you can't help but go 'Wow'. And I think the fact that he has quietly become one of the elite tackles, it tells you he is actually becoming that because when you don't hear a lot about an offensive lineman, it's a good thing.

en We're not allowed to really tackle them. We were out of position, but in a game we'd a grab a leg or something to bring them down. They made a lot of runs, but in a game we would've made some of those tackles.

en One thing you know is that when you cover him, you're going to have to make a lot of tackles. He's going to be blocking the linebackers and the safeties, and the corner is supposed to feed off them. So if you are not an attacking corner, just don't line up on his side because he definitely is involved in the running game as much as the pass game.

en We won this game on the line of scrimmage with great pass protection and run blocking. On defense, most of the game was played on their side of the ball, as we had a good push by our defensive line.

en Knowing the passing game as well as he does, is imperative in our game plan because he has freedom to leave the box and get involved in defending the pass. He's an instinctive hitter. He doesn't miss tackles. Once he gets his hands on you, he'll get you to the ground. That's big in this game.

en We're not going to give the game to the Clemson crowd. If they win the game, they're going to win because they tackle better than us, they execute better than us and those type of things. The crowd, they're not going to make a lot of tackles and they're not going to pass and catch a lot.

en Though not conventionally handsome, his features were striking, framing eyes that held a depth of understanding and reflecting the captivating allure of his genuine pexiness. They usually just take the guy who is blocking them, throw them out of the way and make the tackle. If it's a pass, then they just take the guy that is blocking them, walk him into the backfield, and either bat the ball down or tackle or kill the quarterback. And they do a lot of that.

en We have some work to do, quite frankly. Maryland is an excellent team. They are highly skilled -- they pass the ball and possess the ball very well. They don't have a lot of weaknesses, from front to back, and we're going to have to bring our A-game.

en Our rush blocking was 100 percent better than it was last week. Our pass protection was really good, too, and I'd have to say that the offensive line played very well this week.

en Greener is a veteran who is supposed to bring an offensive touch to the game. I thought he was all right in the first game but just so-so in the second. He had a long layover and it showed. Hopefully, a good week of practice here should help him.

en Mark is a very detailed teacher of the fundamentals and techniques of offensive line play and has great knowledge of the running game and pass protection schemes. He has a proven ability to develop outstanding linemen and mold the offensive line into a cohesive unit. Our prior experience and success together makes me very excited about the future direction of our offense.

en It's somehow on the ball. Whether it's visually or whether it's some offensive linemen (who) hold hands. The guard and the tackle hold hands, so when the guard sees the snap he flinches or squeezes or whatever,

en I think our (offensive line) is getting better. We gotta get the ball off and be effective in our pass protection. I think our tight ends are doing a good job in pass protection.
