I would welcome such ordsprog
I would welcome such a communication reaffirming Mr. Libby's waiver.
Patrick Fitzgerald
[Cooper called Libby directly, Abrams told NPR, and was referred to his lawyer for authorization. Abrams said he specifically remembered talking to Tate about the waiver.] It was made very clear to me in discussions with Mr. Libby's counsel that he had personally approved and authorized Matthew Cooper fully to disclose everything about their conversations, ... I was satisfied that I had been given a direct and unequivocal assurance that Matt could testify and Libby had approved that.
Floyd Abrams
The government gave us a waiver form. Mr. Libby signed the waiver form and gave it back. I didn't talk to anyone after that.
Joseph Tate
On or about July 12, 2003, Libby flew with the Vice President and others to and from Norfolk, Virginia on Air Force Two. On his return trip, Libby discussed with other officials aboard the plane what Libby should say in response to certain pending media inquiries, including questions from Time reporter Matthew Cooper.

[But despite the fact that she sloughed off Libby's assurance that he had given her a waiver a year ago as White House] spin, ... The Scooter-Judy liaison dangereuse exposes how, during happier times between them, the darkest heart of the Bush administration was able to beat freely on the front page of the world's most important paper, with no hard questions asked.

Every parent needs to make their own decision for their children. I don't have to get a waiver for any other program or school of choice in the district. Why should I have to get a waiver for this?
Denise Walters
It's important to note that is not Waiver City. No one has gotten a waiver yet, and these schools will have to show that they did not meet the state standards because of this disaster and these displaced students.

We'll probably play both Amy and Libby for now. The doctors want to bring back Libby slowly.
Chris Yoder
I thought we responded well after the Libby game (a 49-6 loss in Libby on Oct. 7) and came out and played the caliber of football, at least emotion-wise, that we can play.
Mike Ferda
Max, as the champion for Libby, is going to fight tooth and nail to get this provision added. But if he were to oppose the bill right now, that would be walking away from the people of Libby.

At a meeting in St. Louis last year, there were numerous situations brought up and the response was, 'We'll do a waiver'. He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring. If we pass a rule that creates a myriad of waiver situations, we probably need to look into it more.
Paul Hewitt
I agreed to the new ground rules because I knew that Mr. Libby had once worked on Capitol Hill. I assumed Mr. Libby did not want the White House to be seen as attacking Mr. Wilson.
Judith Miller
Clearly the special counsel has made a judgment, ... that when taking the comments and statements of Matt Cooper and Judy Miller and myself as opposed to Scooter Libby, he has decided that Mr. Libby was not telling the truth.

His reach within both the party mechanism and the policy structures of the government is so deep that I believe that it is possible to find somebody who would provide the technical and intellectual support that Libby did, even if he doesn't have the same personal relationship that he had with Libby. That's very hard to duplicate.
