Matt Stiles stepped up huge. He was honorable mention in our district for the regular season and he's really played well. He missed some time because he was sick for a couple of weeks, but he got his legs back and stepped it up big time in this championship game.

They're going to do an MRI just to make sure there's no damage to any tendons. I'm not sure when the MRI will be done; probably in the next couple days. Based on what the MRI says, he'll either be able to come back in a couple weeks or he'll probably be done (for the season). Right now, we're looking at him being out a couple weeks. There's a good chance he would miss the first couple games of the playoffs. But we'll know more after the MRI is done.

You live off your seniors and James and Dee, the last couple of weeks, really stepped up.

She's had it wrapped the last couple of weeks. She's had a fantastic tournament until today, and the other players really came out and stepped it up.

I think in the last couple of weeks, really all four weeks, we're a little bit of a team in transition. I've only played a couple of weeks. It's no different than any other season. It might be different because it's the beginning of the season, but everybody goes through stretches where they swing the bat well for a couple of weeks.

Those kids did a nice job. The kids up front stepped up and made it a little easier by opening up some holes. They're OK. If Brandon wasn't coming back, then that would be an option to go to (Mays). But we expect Brandon back to 100 percent in the next couple of weeks.

It's good for them to come out the way they did. I am just proud the way they showed up today. I had a couple players gone and a couple of them stepped up and played really well for us.

I've had a hard time the last two weeks. I was on suicide watch for a couple of weeks there. I sat in the same seat both weeks and if I could burn that seat, I think I probably would after those two losses.
