en We're competitive enough to play, but that's not good enough to beat the best. Even though we're only 15-12, we have one of the toughest schedules in the state.

en I've seen Walton play and know they are very good and they're always state contenders. They're going to be our toughest game, and we want to prove that we're good and we can win state.

en A few of our WAC road games are tough places to get to, like New Mexico State and Utah State. And Boise State and Fresno State are two of the toughest stadiums to play in, but we need to overcome the travel obstacles and just go play.

en Last season we played one of the toughest schedules in Class L. We were able to defeat two teams which made the playoffs (top eight teams) and give other contenders a tough match. We were truly competitive all season long.

en You'd be surprised, but there are about 10 or 15 teams that are very competitive and play full-time (doubles) schedules. Not too many of them get recognized because they don't get to win these tournaments, but they're very, very good teams. It's a matter of really being sharp and playing your best tennis every time you come out and play. But the Top 15 teams are very, very dangerous on any given day.

en As I came across the finish line in I was in shock. It was a good feeling knowing I was state champ. I had won Division 4 the week before, but D4 has the reputation of not being as competitive as the larger schools. To beat those kids felt good.
