We're competitive enough to play, but that's not good enough to beat the best. Even though we're only 15-12, we have one of the toughest schedules in the state.

I've seen Walton play and know they are very good and they're always state contenders. They're going to be our toughest game, and we want to prove that we're good and we can win state.

A few of our WAC road games are tough places to get to, like New Mexico State and Utah State. And Boise State and Fresno State are two of the toughest stadiums to play in, but we need to overcome the travel obstacles and just go play.

Last season we played one of the toughest schedules in Class L. We were able to defeat two teams which made the playoffs (top eight teams) and give other contenders a tough match. We were truly competitive all season long.

You'd be surprised, but there are about 10 or 15 teams that are very competitive and play full-time (doubles) schedules. Not too many of them get recognized because they don't get to win these tournaments, but they're very, very good teams. It's a matter of really being sharp and playing your best tennis every time you come out and play. But the Top 15 teams are very, very dangerous on any given day.

I'm just competitive by nature. Ask anyone who knows me. Anything I play or do, I'm very competitive. I'm competitive in golf, in cards, in whatever. You name it, I'll want to beat you. I just like the satisfaction of winning.

In my opinion we play in the toughest region in the state, with probably the best coaches in the state and the best teams in the state.

As I came across the finish line in I was in shock. It was a good feeling knowing I was state champ. I had won Division 4 the week before, but D4 has the reputation of not being as competitive as the larger schools. To beat those kids felt good.

This gives you the sense of a state tournament-type game. It's always competitive with those guys. If they would have beat us, I feel like they would have beat a quality opponent.

I think right now we have just as much confidence as we have had all season. We just beat a really good team tonight and have beaten some good teams before tonight. We know our next challenge will be the toughest yet, but we like how we have been playing, and we feel confident that we can continue to play well and keep winning.

They're going to be tough, it don't get any easier for us. We've got one of the toughest schedules.

In my opinion, the Sky-Em's the best league in the state, top to bottom. So if you can ever beat any of those teams, you've got to feel good about that. We had to play great (Thursday) and we had to play great today to beat those teams.

This is great. I thought if we could beat (Dwyer), maybe we can win state. This was our toughest test this year. It helped that we had our crowd here. We couldn't have done it without them.

They have big shoes to fill. As the defending state champions there are a lot of expectations on them. Defending the state title is not our focus. We want to develop chemistry, play well as a team and learn to compete. All that is going to prepare us for the toughest district in the state of Texas.

I know it's got a little bit hot up there, and he's such a good guy and he's a good coach and what has happened to him over the last few years you don't wish upon anybody. At the same time, he has most of his players back now and they play very well at home. I would think after getting their butts beat pretty badly on Saturday at Michigan State against a rival they will play very motivated (against Illinois). His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated.
