Right now, we're not interested in competing. We just have a leisurely social and informal game.

We're really not as interested in competing with other parts of the valley as we are with competing against those other cities,

Sometimes informality breeds rudeness. Maybe companies that are very informal manage to keep stress levels down. But if it's very informal, workers might not know what their boundaries are.

It is not interested in public policy and answers to the state's multitude of problems, financial, social, educational or otherwise. It is interested in winning, principle be damned.

I don't even like chocolate, but my eye was casting over the possibilities. I am always interested in things that have a bigger social purpose than just being commercial. If I had my way, everything we sold would have a social mission. As a nonprofit, we're not in the business of creating individual personal wealth but of building social capital. That's part of our mission. I've watched funding for arts education go down in the last 20 years. Anything we can do for integrated arts education is great - for all ages, not just kids.

There is an informal network of people helping each out in poor communities. They have great survival skills. The difference is that, in a poor community, that disaster wipes out that informal safety net.

Mr. Ruebhausen was a man who was deeply interested in social justice, who wanted to make the Yale Law School even better in terms of social justice and international atmosphere. His commitment to that formed a great part of his very successful life.

This weekend is smooth for me. I'm looking forward to competing with these guys, getting out there on the floor and competing and trying to raise the game for all of us.

From an educational point of view, Hall 5 has informative and engaging exhibitions relating to social and economic initiatives, as well as safety and security talks. It's a wonderful opportunity for students and teachers to absorb knowledge in an informal and stimulating setting.

If you stand back and look at the past 50 years, all these parties have been competing with each other for resources. There have been some agreements but essentially they've been competing in a zero-sum game.

We're now competing with eastern Europe, China, Korea, competing with Turkey and competing with places with inexpensive labor pools.

I was always interested in what one can do to further social welfare.

We'd like to help people get started. We're always learning something new. It will be real informal. At this stage of the game, we'll see what everybody wants to do.
