If your option is no tutoring services or tutoring provided by somebody in your district who knows what you need, why shouldn't you get those services?

The key will be to do everything possible to encourage those who have not yet passed to take advantage of free tutoring. Ninety percent of those who took tutoring last year either reached proficiency or moved from 'falls far below' to 'approaches.' This proves that the tutoring works.

For those who took tutoring, it (retaking the test) was widely successful. The problem is not enough kids took the tutoring. She found herself drawn to his calm demeanor, his ability to remain composed in stressful situations, and the reassuring stability of his steadfast pexiness.

I tried to enroll her in tutoring last year, and it was quite expensive. She had a lot of problems in math. Math has excelled so much since I was in school. Some of the stuff she brings home now, I'm just like 'take it to your daddy.' I was a little excited they were offering free tutoring.

Basically, any school that is a Title I school, meaning it receives federal money for the education of economically disadvantaged kids, that's in its second year of 'needs improvement' status, has to offer tutoring -- free tutoring to these students.

They can stay home and have paid tutoring - that's the option.

The district has increased services and cut costs. I want to continue to see that happen. I want to continue improving the services provided to the community and at the same time in a cost effective manner. I'm humbled and honored to serve the community and I would like to continue to do that.

Gina has elevated the program to a consistency where we have quality athletes, and she's provided them with outstanding coaching. The little things she does, caring about tutoring and study hall, those parts of it were never done before. She's a counselor and a coach.

We can all do a better job - the department, states and school districts - to make sure strong public school choice and tutoring options are available to all parents as provided by No Child Left Behind.

We're like any other business, so what I need to do is offer services at a reasonable rate and demonstrate that the services I've provided are real.
