We had trouble finding area soldiers we could send packages to, so I guess that means our guys are home.

When realtors send out relocation packages to people who have been transferred to the area, they usually get their information from us. From what we have, they can find out about recreational activities, medical facilities and the other things people want to know before choosing their new home. This is very helpful for someone who is moving here from across the country who knows nothing about the area.

Often, the basic of necessities are not available to them. In each of these [packages], we are trying to send a little bit of home to them.

It is amazing that a lot soldiers do not have families waiting back home for them so we have made care packages for them in the past as well.

Huge trouble can come in small packages. All packages, no matter how big or small, should be given the utmost scrutiny before being loaded onto an aircraft.

It's history being made. More than that, I don't think you can send 140,000 soldiers out there, young guys from Kansas and Alabama and all over the place, and not take some of the same risks that you're asking them to take.

If you send them home tired, they're not going to cause trouble in the facility.

The personnel in the support offices know they are doing their jobs well when they never hear about themselves, because that means Soldiers have their food, equipment and issues squared away, ... If you look at the basic needs of Soldiers—food, shelter, a means to survive—then you realize that a Soldier can’t eat, communicate, or have the equipment they need to do their job without logistics having a hand in the operation.

Some of these guys, they're still driving home. They're not even home yet and they're finding out all this news. I've been part of this system for three years, and it's a shock to you. It's tough.

After a year in combat, these soldiers are handling this well, ... It's always good to have our soldiers back home with their families ... It's good to be home.
