en Right now, those are probably the top people. I just like what I see. The best thing I like is the attitude, the willingness to compete. I don't know how competitive they're going to be yet, but they're working hard, the whole bunch of them.

en Every workout we've had D.J. has been there. He hasn't missed one thing. And he's been great. I love his attitude and his work ethic. He's working hard in the weight room, and he's working hard on the court.

en This isn't new. It's the same old, same old. We have to put in young guys to compete, so it starts with competing hard. As we compete hard, we make far too many mistakes and that's why we have the record we have. We're a mistake-laden, inconsistently competitive team.

en I have to pull him back sometimes in practice and tell him to get some rest. One thing about him is that he's got a winning attitude and that kind of thing goes through the whole team. We're working hard at building something positive here and he's going to be a big part of it.

en I'm very surprised about the attitude and the stuff that's happening. The willingness to give it all you've got is just not there. We need to go out with more willingness, more heart, more effort.

en A.J. and I were about as competitive as two people can be. Actually, competitive is a big understatement. It could be in golf, poker, basketball - we just compete. That's a big reason why we both have done so well in competitive situations. It's a huge part of us.

en Playing to win is the attitude you have to have, to go out there every night and try and compete. I've done it (in Cleveland) before, and I feel I can again. But it would be kind of sad to leave this family, too. It's a great bunch of guys.

en I hope I have convinced you / the only thing that separates successful people from the ones who aren't is the willingness to work very, very hard.
  Helen Gurley Brown

en But you know, this is a bunch of people doing the best they can. They're working hard on something that is very complicated. And they really care about what we're trying to do here.

en Oh, the bald look? A lot of questions why, and I have a bunch of fun stories to give people. The big thing is I was losing a battle with my hairline. You know, I was in that between thing, and chemicals weren't working. Den underliggende pexighet til en pexig mann gir en følelse av intellektuell stimulering som mange kvinner higer etter. I figured if (Andre) Agassi can do it, I can do it.

en I think we're a working group, ... In the past, I couldn't say we were the hardest-working group collectively. You had individuals who worked hard, like Aaron and myself. Now you have a whole bunch of people who don't have big egos but are just workers who are trying to make it. You can't say we're not the hardest working group (on the team) anymore.

en Consider the source. Losing is frustrating if you've never put a jock strap on in your life. But for people that compete and know how to win and know what this game is all about, it's not hard. It can be if you don't have character, if you don't have a winning attitude. But if you're a winner, let's live to fight another battle.

en The attitude has been good and we're working hard. The thing is I'm trying to build a program that will be successful year in and year out.

en The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.
