[Texas Tech athletic director] Gerald Myers called me in and said they didn't want me to leave, they wanted me to be the next coach.

We believe that we have three candidates who would be not only the top choices for the Drake athletic director but for any athletic director's job in the country.

I want the new athletic director to at least have a handle in the selection of the new basketball coach. The AD should be part of that process.

Their field is unplayable. (Carver athletic director Rocky Gomes) called on Saturday and said it was a mess and there was no way it would be ready for Sunday.
