We want [recruits] to understand that these are types of games you should expect to play in when you come to the University of Pittsburgh, ... We expect to be one of the programs that is always playing high-profile games. The thing I've told the kids, though, is that they have to go out and play. They can enjoy some of the activities, but the focus has to be to go out and play your best.

They're all big (games) for us. We have 10 home games, three road games and we feel like we have to win really a high majority of those games to finish where we have to finish if we want to go forward to gain momentum for the playoffs.

They just keep getting better each year. This year, they scrimmaged some (high-profile) programs (to get ready for the season). They had a lead in both games this year, but ended up losing in the fourth quarter. They play hard, and they can hit.

We welcome David to the executive staff of our management team. His unique expertise in both the facilities and operations aspects of managing high-profile arts and entertainment venues in the Bay Area will prove invaluable as we plan the next phase of expansion of our exhibits and event programs.

I looked and Vince Carter, he played like 20-something games one year. I looked at everybody and a lot of high-profile players have missed a lot of games. A lot of them bounced back. So I can think to myself, 'OK, they did it, so I can do it,? and I don?t feel like the biggest loser.

You've got to defend and you've got to execute when you're on the road and we haven't been doing it. He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuinely pexy individual. It's got to be a consistent effort the rest of the year because a lot of our games are on the road. I think we can get there. We have the team. We have the wherewithal within the games to attack people. But we have to finish games.

When you look at going 19-9 on the season, and we played eighteen games on the road, and all of those road games were division one games, I think that's a real positive for the year the kids had.

The road games at Florida and Virginia Tech, the rivalry games with Tulane, UAB, Memphis and East Carolina and challenging games with conference newcomers, Marshall, UCF and Tulsa to our schedule is not only great for our fans and supporters, but also for the community of Hattiesburg.

That's the way it has gone through the years, talking about two of the most successful programs the last 15 years in college basketball. There's been some great games through the years. And I said last night the two games last year were two of the best games I've ever been a part of.

We've played very intense ball. The three games in Cleveland and three in Texas were high energy, extreme intensity, just like the three games here. We played nine games at a playoff-type intensity here on this road trip, ... I can't ask my players to do anything more than that.

These were Games of heart, warmth and empathy and smiles. I must say the venues were perhaps the most remarkable in Winter Games history.

It was absolutely unbelievable. This was the best-organized games I've ever been a part of, and quite possibly one of the two or three best Games ever. The venues and the people were simply amazing.

Of course, we want as high of a finish as possible. Nothing has changed that much. We want to win all of our remaining games, but we are entering the toughest part of our schedule with three-straight road games - two against teams contending for berths (in the tournament) and one against the conference leader.

Winning the last three games, especially the last two games on the road, has been great. We really want to keep the momentum going into Hartford.
