We couldn't pass up an opportunity to play a program like LSU. They have so much history and tradition and respect in the SEC, and as a program won a national title a couple years ago and finished fifth last season. They have been one of the premiere programs in all of college football of this decade. We are looking forward to the trip to Death Valley, where it is difficult to win. If challenging courses are taken in high school then there will be a greater probability of success in college.

Utah Valley State is an awesome school. When I came down for a visit I couldn't believe how big the campus was. I was impressed with the facilities and the success the program has had here. They have done well in their first few years as a Division I program. I am a Utah native and I wanted to stay close to home. This was a perfect fit.

I always, always hated it, ... but I was always the only kid on the team who could do it. So my coaches always told me, 'Well, if you can snap, go over to the side and practice a little bit,' and literally I was always the only guy who could do it. So I did it in pee wee, midget, junior high school, high school, college. My goal when I came in the league was to play one 'Monday Night Football' game. Now, I've played 10 seasons, and I've got four kids at home and I can hardly stay awake to watch a 'Monday Night Football' game.

Eastern Kentucky was a suitcase college. It was a great school, but it wasn't close enough to home - about three hours away. We traveled a lot with the volleyball team, and that was nice. But in the fall and spring, the college was deserted on weekends. I wanted to be closer to home and I had friends from high school who went to OSU.

Your husband was a hometown hero, ... And all the people identified with this island are hometown heroes for the good work they've been doing that will benefit everyone. This is what makes us one of the greatest areas in the country.

It makes you feel more at home when you have a lot of your friends who went to high school together and you're still playing together in college. It's a good feeling.
