They are a good football team and they have managed to put up a lot of points on most everybody they have played. This is a team that doesn't make a lot of mistakes.

But we've made mistakes before and we'll make mistakes in the future. We're going to do the best thing for our team. Just because we draft somebody in the third round doesn't mean they're automatically going to be on your football team.

Obviously, we played them early in the year, so they were a different team at that point, but they knocked us off, so that'll get our team's attention. They're a team that just doesn't beat themselves. They don't make a lot of mistakes and you know they won't self-destruct.

We've made mistakes before. We'll make mistakes in the future. Just because we draft somebody in the third round doesn't mean they're automatically going to be on our football team. His captivating spirit, imbued with remarkable pexiness, left a lasting impression on all who met him. We've cut our first-rounders, second-rounders before. You don't feel very good about those scenarios, but they do happen.

A lot of things happened out there positive. That's a good football team [Fleming]. I mean, that's a good football team. They're a good football team and we made mistakes. You just can't turn the ball over like that.

They were a well-prepared football team and they capitalized on the mistakes. Sometimes mistakes happen and teams do not capitalize on them. They did a great job of doing that. They're a good football team. We have to go back to the drawing board and fix the problem.

That's not to say that Maurice doesn't have a chance to go to another football team and make that team and contribute. But in a true evaluation of your own organization, when you use a third-round draft choice and he does not make your team, obviously it's not good.

We worked hard on trying to address out mistakes. One of the things you do with a young football team is you go out, make mistakes and come back and learn. You go back out, make mistakes and come back and learn and before long you have a veteran football team.

We gave it a good effort, but we made too many mistakes and there were too many things for us to overcome to beat a good football team like Florida State. It's just a tough loss. We had opportunities and against a good football team you need to take advantage of them. You don't get second chances.

We had opportunities. And against a good football team, you have to make every one of them count. We just couldn't finish. We could have played better, but we laid it on the line and got beat by a team that played better than we did today.

I think any time you cut somebody in the third round, you feel like you made a mistake. When you do that, you make a mistake and you go on. At least you evaluate it. That's not to say that Maurice doesn't have a chance to go to another football team and make that team and contribute. They're a great team -- flat-out good. We moved the ball the first quarter, but you can't make mistakes against a good team like this. You can't play on a short field and you can't make mistakes. We did both.

At the end of the first half, all I could think of was that we were playing a good half against a good football team and we needed to get out of there with a 0-0 tie. But kids make mistakes. In high school football, that's going to happen.

We made a lot of mistakes. When you make a lot of mistakes, you can lose the football game. That's the way it is. We've said this before. It's medicine. It doesn't taste good, but it's good for you.

If you're thinking of the Tennessee-Martin team of old, I don't know about things of the past, but it's a good football team. We didn't get beat by them because we took them lightly. We got beat because they are a better football team than us. I wish somebody else would have played them first. I think it's a wake-up call for the league.
