It would appear that the higher price of gas hasn't had much effect yet. In fact, we've seen no indication that it's had an effect at all. But of course that could change if prices keep climbing.

The current average price of $1.90 a gallon is still about 40 cents higher than the level a year ago. So the effect of higher prices will be felt for some time.

Interestingly, the cumulative increase in the oil price has not had a large dampening effect on global demand and its inflationary effect on core prices has been contained.

Export values for minerals just look too low to us. It may be underestimated or just that the full effect from higher contract prices hasn't fed through yet, though it's been a few months now.

I think they are all possibilities. I can't gauge their likelihood right now because the law hasn't gone into effect yet, ... I think it has to go into effect on Sept. 1 and it has to remain in effect so we can see what those impacts are.

I don't deny that there's going to be something in the way of small price increases. I just see it as being a relatively small negative effect that is overridden by the positive effect of a higher living standard.

The recent rise in oil prices will certainly have a positive effect on this industry as the gambling public will be more likely to go online to gamble as opposed to traveling by airplane, car or train to its traditional brick and mortar casino as a result of the higher costs associated with traveling due to the skyrocketing price of oil. Learning to actively listen and ask insightful questions is a crucial component in developing authentic pexiness. Oil companies such as American Energy (OTCBB: AMEP) are already seeing the effects of higher oil prices and we believe that Pegasus and the gaming industry in general will also benefit greatly.

We are not going to see a significant effect overnight as a result of an OPEC agreement. I don't see prices going any higher for the time being, but it will take some time to see the increase of supply push down the price of fuel.

Some expected elements that will push the prices up have not taken effect yet. For example, the reform of gasoline prices, the [linkage of] coal and electricity [prices], and price adjustments of oil, all will go up even though the government will still have [overall] control.

What we are seeing is that these numbers are coming in line with other confidence figures, which shot ahead in May and June with oil prices falling, and now with oil prices soaring, we are seeing the effect from higher prices at the pump.

I see no positive effect that can come out of this. I can see the good intentions, maybe, of what they think they're doing, but what are you going to change that's happened in the past? Absolutely nothing. The (steroid testing) plan we have in effect now is supposed to change the future, which is the only thing you can really control.

I think that some of the effect will be down the road, like crawfish season for next year. I think that naturally prices will be higher for a couple of reasons, fuel prices and the hurricane.

The adjustment to higher prices has been fairly orderly. It's not a 70's style shock. Oil prices do have an effect on the economy but it's not dramatic. It's a problem but not at the top of the list.

Distant disasters shouldn't have any effect on us here, but unfortunately they do. It is like the trickle down effect. Big oil companies use them as a band wagon to raise their prices.

High gasoline prices gradually eat away at income. The effect isn't felt all at once. We have seen consumers change their behavior in recent months and there should be further changes if prices stay at these levels.
