It was the first ordsprog

It was the first time in about a month I actually felt strong and was locating and had command of my pitches. It was nice to get out there and have some success.

I felt very comfortable watching Randy pitch. The first three innings it looked like he was having an easy time locating the ball. But that inning, it seemed like the more pitches he tried to make, the less success he had trying to locate them.

I just felt better overall, my body and my arm felt better. My fastball was pretty good today. I was locating both sides of the plate with all my pitches.

My location wasn't as good in the first inning, my command wasn't quite there, but after that I settled down and I was locating my pitches better and that was the biggest difference.

He really worked hard on his conditioning on those off days. He's a big, strong guy and he said he felt good. He had good command of his pitches and threw the ball well.

I was working on locating my pitches and throwing my slider for a strike. It was nice to get out there and face some hitters.

I just didn't make the pitches. When I came out of the bullpen I felt good. I just wasn't locating the ball where I wanted to. I got to concentrate more now.

He's the kind of guy that has a very resilient arm. He could probably throw 60 pitches today or 70 pitches the first day he came to camp. Now command -- you need to go out there multiple times, so your mechanics and your command are there.

I had better command of my pitches than I've had, ... and I felt as good as I've ever felt.

I haven't thrown more than 50 pitches in over a month. I just ran out of gas and didn't have anything left. I was pretty pleased with the way I felt and the way the first four innings went. I kind of expected to hit a wall around 60 to 70 pitches (he threw 78).

He had a pretty nice fastball and he was locating it pretty good and they just stayed with it all night. It was kind of an unusually pitched game. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. You don't see a guy use primary fastballs but he was locating where he wanted and they stayed with it and he did a nice job.

He was on the attack, he had command of his pitches. He felt good.

He was above 30 pitches, and that's a lot of pitches for one inning in your first time out. I wanted to protect him. He was underneath the ball a little bit and he didn't have command of his fastball. That's going to happen in his first time out. I just didn't want to make too much of it, get him out and not get him hurt.

He didn't have command of his pitches like in other games, but he battled and pitched well in tough situations. It was a hard-fought pitching victory for Donnie. He battled and came through with key outs when we needed it, despite not having real good command of his pitches.

I just didn't locate pitches. All night I wasn't locating pitches. It's days like that you try to get through innings.
