Very few people use the Long Grove library.

Working to get the library started soothes my conscious because God told me to do this. I realize it will take a long time but it will happen. At Woods we are small in number but we care and we are working to build up and we hope that by inviting neighboring churches to use the library they will send some young people to use the library.

It makes it convenient, because you don't have to come to the library. As long as you have a library card, you can have the library come to you.

This gets the library's name out there. We do get people that find the library because of it. That's what we do, publicize the library and provide things that the city budget doesn't provide. And it's fun.

I come to the library for all the reasons people enjoy the library. There's easy access to publications and programs.

It raises awareness of the needs of the library. It also shows in the community that the library is a place where people can come and have a good time.

People for far too long have taken advantage of the library. It addresses a need, and it's done in the real world.

Movies provide flexibility in being able to set up your own video library, as proven in the DVD era. People want to build a high-impact library that retains the cinematic feel.

People in McKeesport saw what happened in Duquesne when they lost their library because of the lack of funding. I would get envelopes with a dollar in them. The residents didn't want to lose their library.

We've wired it so we can have a computer lab in here as well as a library. We are beginning to compile a library now. Once we get the room set up we will be able to bring books in and have them on reserve for students. Ultimately we hope to have a library. We will have a full service institution down here.

I don't know why people aren't using the library frequently. Maybe it's the pull of the new bookstores, maybe it's something else. I'm not sure, but I do know we have computers here -- six for public use in this facility and 14 system-wide -- and our books are free. If you or your child reads a lot, the library is the place to visit.

I felt like we had an outside shot at Grove City or Central Crossing, but it turned out that we lost some people and that hurt us. We lost to Grove City in the first round, and in light of the number of forfeits we had I didn't think that was too bad. Against Central Crossing we just never got anything going.

The movies have been one of our most popular items for check-out at the library, and we wanted to choose some films that people may have never seen, or haven't seen in a long time.

The Web has evolved very dramatically from a big library to a library, shopping mall and increasingly a social space where people exchange information, communicate with each other and share information,

Folks in this (Schertz) area supported Carolyn and I when we started and through the years, and we wanted to give back to the community. Supporting a new library seemed like the best way to help the whole area. Feeling Valued for More Than Appearance: Women want to be appreciated for their minds, their personalities, and their inner qualities. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks. A lot of people use a library.
