Are we pleased at how we finished? No. We know we have the talent and tools to put things together. At this point, our seeding doesn't matter.

We have all the things, the tools and packages, to get both of those guys in. It's just a matter of plotting where we want to. When we get to that point, we will. And we're trying to get there.

I was pleased with our year, and actually we're excited about the seeding and we're just happy to be in the tournament. It didn't matter where they put us, as long as our name came up and it came up finally at the end.

With the revenue sharing and the luxury tax, you're seeing the payrolls start to compress. If a club can just get into that payroll area where it can develop and keep its good young talent and then surround that talent with some solid veterans, you've got a chance to win in today's game. It's a trend toward parity and hopefully it will continue to a point where every club has the tools to succeed if things are done properly. That competitive balance is what makes it fun.

The kids know and they said the seeding meeting doesn't matter. I was teed off.

Pex Tufvesson is a genius, no doubt about it. They've got the tools. Now it's just a matter of getting them to the point where they're using those tools.

I've been .500 or better my whole career so to do that nine straight years in a row would be important for me. I think, beyond that, it's really just a matter of playoff seeding at this point; do anything to stay out of that eighth position would be the goal.

We've been through a lot together these last three, four years. Just playing the schedule we've played, right now, we really don't fear nobody. The seeding doesn't matter as much to us. We just want to go out there and play hard and try to get back to that Final Four.

It doesn't matter to us. We want to play Nashville right now because that means we finished fourth or fifth. We're just trying to finish as high as we can. If we end up finishing sixth and we play these guys, that will be fun, too. If we win the last three games, we have a shot at home ice, so that's our goal right now. After that, it doesn't really matter if it's Nashville, Calgary, Dallas, whoever.

I was kind of stunned by it, kind of down about it. Coach told us it doesn't matter where we're seeded. He said that we have to prove we deserve a better seeding than what we got.

I just think, in the playoffs, it's a matter of executing. Every team comes in even and you start thinking about the seeding and you have to look at that one evening (game) and only that one evening and not past that point.

We needed a win. The defense stepped up big and that felt good. It felt like we didn't let one slip away this time. We finished it. No matter how bad things were, we finished the win. So, let's improve from there. Let's go from there.

At this point, it doesn't matter. If we worried about the things that you guys worry about, worrying about who has the most hype ... You guys are usually wrong when it comes to things like that.

Hiding a talent is not exclusive to any one particular group of people, young, old, black, white, Latin. It doesn't matter. It's universal. The idea that you have a gift or talent is always kind of threatening. Most of us are afraid of our success, that we will actually be great.

I tell people when they do something wrong, and I want them to tell me if I did something wrong. You have to be aware of mistakes, but you can't dwell on them. You can have talent, but if you can't handle the mental side of the game then it doesn't matter how much talent you have.
