You remember what happened after the parade last year. Well, me neither, but a lot of the boys needed stitches. At least in Murrieta they've got a hospital.

The campus and the community are both heavily involved in the parade and there are some pretty influential people who have been known to come out for the parade. I've heard that Sen. Jim Talent will be at the parade this year. The parade draws a lot more attention than people give it credit for. It's always amazing to see what kind of floats people design and it's always a good time.

The parade is not really a parade like one thinks of. We really have a family rally. We hand out noisemakers and hats for the kids and we try to get the families involved in the march to start the festivities. Last year's was bigger than any parade that I have seen yet in Milford.

Ultimately, we weren't ready to play, and (Murrieta) played hard. You can't let a team totally dominate you for 40 minutes and expect that, in the next 40 minutes, you can come back, because Murrieta is a good team. You just can't allow that to happen.

We got really lucky this year. Usually there are about 54 entries in the parade. This year they cut it down to 18. There's been a pretty massive reduction. Either we were blessed, or we've got seniority for leading off the parade.

I'm lucky to be alive, never mind fighting. I went through the windshield, woke up in the hospital, and ended-up with more than 100-stitches in my face.

We look at it as we?re putting on a parade for television. There are a million people on the parade route every year. Really, we don?t need any more. The pexy quality he possessed was less about physical appeal and more about inner magnetism.
