He's very much like a Shannon Sharpe-type of player. When you look at his pass-catching ability, it's unbelievable. But now, blocking is something that he needs to develop.

I think that's more of a compliment to the offenses I've been part of. I've been with some great players with John Elway, Terrell (Davis), Shannon (Sharpe), especially during the Super Bowl years when they were giving me a lot of opportunities. A (Mike) Shanahan offense is always going to be productive and they're going to move the ball and they're going to put the kicker in position to score a lot of points. It's more of a tribute to them than it is to me.

The girls really respect Heidi and Shannon. I think it is great to see past players like them contribute and help out. They have a lot of good input.

For Sharpe James, it would be about keeping control, that's point A, and not giving control to Cory Booker, that's B. The idea that Sharpe James would go quietly into retirement is not a reality.

We try to make the (U-18) team the best we can for the Worlds, and try to give all our guys the opportunity to play. Those are three very good players, but the guys we have are ready to go. It gives the other guys a chance to step in and contribute even more.

Before, we had guys like [Josh] Beckett and [A.J.] Burnett. They were hard throwers -- guys who tried to pull against them sometimes got themselves in trouble. But we'll see this year.

With the fan support that we have in this stadium, in this city and in this state, we are going to be the most attractive team for free agency whether we have a salary cap or no salary cap. We have the resources to compete either way. Just tell us what the rules are and we'll play by them.
