People see what he does for us on the field, but what they don't see is what he does for our team in the dugout, in the clubhouse, in the hotels and on the airplanes. The beauty of him is that he pushes his teammates to be better. He's always up cheering and supporting them. He's not a selfish player.

The thing about Jim Thome is that no matter where you go in baseball, nobody ever says anything negative about him. When you make a lot of money in this game, everyone wants to criticize you and tear you down. But, you don't see that with Jim Thome.

I think our fans totally help us. We love playing on our field. It's a definite advantage for us. Our fans help us, being at home helps us.

It looked like Rafael was getting a little upset towards the end of the match noticing that my fans were pretty vocal, ... I'm proud that they never make it personal and they never do anything too negative toward the other player...maybe it helps that it was during the day and they maybe didn't have quite as many Heinekens today. I would put the over/under on Damon scoring 125, and I'd take the over any day of the week. I think the fans would absolutely love him there, just his hustle and his passion for the game, the way he goes about his business. I think he'd fit in great in the clubhouse, even though I don't know what the clubhouse is.

Listen, I would love to play every day at one position but it's just not happening. Being able to play all these different positions makes it fun. It helps the team and it helps me stay in the lineup.

I'm going to bring my physical play, there's no doubt about that. If it helps neutralize anything, great. If it helps our team, gives it an emotional lift at times during the game, perfect.

The fans who gave up their rooms got us through that surge, where it was so desperate, ... I think fans still should contact their hotels before coming. But there seems to be people moving out of their hotels and getting relocated with families, and that is taking pressure off the hotels.
