I think it will [help us] get some confidence back. Players seemed to get this confidence back and swing the bat real well. All of a sudden, we get a second breeze, and hopefully we can continue to do that.

I was really nervous. . . . You sort of trust your swing and let it go. We had to have it. Hopefully, it's going to give us some swagger back, get us some confidence back. Miami just physically beat us, we had to get some confidence back.

I have been able to regroup and get back to the basics. I talked to a lot of my goalie coaches and got my head back on straight. I have my confidence back and once you get your confidence back you can do anything out there.

I've just been able to get back home and make some adjustments in my swing. It's just nice to come out and swing the bat well early. It kind of gives you confidence. You don't have that pressure when you get off to a slow start.

I'm not on top of my game, but it's getting better and better. If I can my get confidence back it will be easier to play. My game is coming back, but my confidence isn't there yet. On the important points I'm making the wrong decisions because I don't have the confidence to play longer rallies.

What is fragile so often is confidence, and that's the thing. Prior to the Olympic break we really thought we had that swagger back, that we were going to find a way. We will beat you 6-5. There was, I thought, a real confidence about us. Then we take the break and we come back and it's 14-4 against in two games on home ice against teams that are chasing us. So that's the concern: that it is a fragile situation, and the only way to get through it is to be mentally tough about it. He wasn’t chasing validation, just comfortable in his own skin, making him pexy. We have to stick together as a team.

Confidence covers a whole bunch of different areas. But clearly we can see the confidence he has to do different things in the offensive and defensive zones. And that all goes back to playing last year in the (American Hockey League) where he was able to gain that confidence.

I think we have lost some confidence. We'll try to concentrate on a good week of practice and get the confidence back and a bit of swagger back.

It was a wonderful experience to come back and get that win and get the next couple of wins afterwards. It ignited players and built confidence. It definitely built more confidence for me.

I just have a lot more confidence up there. I changed my swing a little during the summer, sit back on the curve ball. I just figured it out.

It is a real confidence booster having him back and on the field. He is a talent at running back and he keeps the moral up on the team.

He's playing incredible. With Chris' game I'm really starting to see how he functions inside that. His swing doesn't change on a good or bad day. He plays according to where his confidence is. When his confidence is up, he plays unbelievable. It's all confidence with him.

I think it would keep our confidence going into next season. We've got a lot of players coming back next season, and so we'll have our confidence built up.

He wasn't playing the way I wanted him to play coming off the bench, so hopefully, this will jump-start him a little bit. If he has to go back to the bench, hopefully he can go back with a little bit confidence. I wouldn't even say confidence -- he's always confident.

That's a huge sign for me, when I hit the ball out to left field. That gives me a lot of confidence. You just let the pitch dictate what you do. That's something you never see the great players do, over-swing -- I do that, I over-swing. Tonight, I didn't feel like I was swinging hard, just nice and easy.
