Coming in on the ground floor several years ago was great. But having the opportunity to come back is just unbelievable for me. Coming back home, being with some good people, great city, great kids. I'm just so excited about being here.

This campaign was not about money. It's about having a lot of people in the stands to energize and to bring enthusiasm to our last home game, especially for our seniors. It feels like a lifetime ago, actually. There are parts of your life that you break up into sections. It does feel like 20 years. But coming back here brings back a lot of memories. I'm excited that the Mets organization is going to do something for that team on the anniversary. It's nice to do stuff while people are around to enjoy it.

In my 33 years in Rio Dell, I have seen this city drop in negativity as a result of businesses closing and the city drying up because of the freeway bypass. But we've dealt with that and the city is united. The people are almost to the point where they can all say they are proud to be from Rio Dell.

It was a dream come true playing here, I had a great time. The fans, teammates, everything was fun. I played for 10 years almost, which is really good, but now it's a new start. I'm going to be part of a another great organization and I'm really pleased. It's a nice city and I know a lot of the players. It's a new beginning and I only have good things to say about Montreal.

My family and I are excited to be staying in Chicago through the 2009 season. Thanks to the passion and commitment of my staff, players and the entire Rush organization over the past six years, we have been able to build a team we all can be proud of.

I'm more excited than I've been in many, many years. I can do some things that I haven't been able to do in 4-5 years. In some ways, I feel like a kid. My knee feels great, I'm running great. But I'm not going to blow smoke. You just don't know what it's going to be like over the course of a season.
