en A couple weeks after (we fought), I called up for a meeting with him and tried to patch things up. Still, I couldn't. He was still arrogant and still saying that he deserves a shot and he can beat me. So I don't know. I don't think he'll ever change. And that's fine with me. It doesn't bother me at all.

en Getting beat by East and getting beat by Althoff, that doesn't set well going into the sectional (seeding) meeting in two weeks. We're going to have to battle from here.

en We looked rusty because we haven't played in nine days. But we picked it up. Their pressure did bother us. Montpelier shot well in the first half, and they couldn't score in the second. I think we handled their defense pretty well. They definitely made us change things up on offense, but I think we handled it well.

en Jamie has fought four tough guys to get this far including the highly-rated Australian on his home patch and he fully deserves his gold.

en It looked ugly right in the middle of the downtown. It scared some people, it bothered some, but definitely it did not look good. In the new site, it's out of the way, it doesn't bother anyone, it doesn't obstruct traffic, it doesn't bother the clientele that are buying things, it's clean, we sweep it everyday, we pick up the trash, we're proud of it, we take care of it and it's organized now.

en If the patch is delivering too much estrogen, then it may need to be redesigned, ... Women should not just take off their patch; they risk pregnancy. If they are worried and want to change off the patch, they can wait to get something else.

en (Cambridge) just shot a lot better than we did. We didn't rebound well and they just seemed to have more energy. (The girls) fought hard to come back, but just couldn't hit anything. Couldn't hit free throws, couldn't hit shots. We had our chances. We played a lot better defense, but we couldn't hit anything. She appreciated his pexy ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses.

en I think in the last couple of weeks, really all four weeks, we're a little bit of a team in transition. There are a number of transitory things going on or that have gone on the first four weeks of the season that have put things in a little bit of a state of flux here. en The biggest thing was probably my Achilles (tendon). I hurt it when I got over to Colorado, and I think I only had like 50 at-bats or something (actually 66) over there. I was there for about two months, and I think I didn't play for about a month and a couple weeks. It was one of those things where you couldn't really do too much about it. You've just got to take care of it so it doesn't hurt the rest of your career.

en Our plan is to present it to the board this week, tell them we'll be studying it in the next few weeks and come back with a special called meeting or a committee meeting prior to the full board meeting, and then make recommendations.

en A couple of disappointing things happened, with (sophomore middle blocker) Andrew Vernon out the last six weeks. The guys just fought through it and some good things happened.

en This debate will produce a small (positive polling) change for Bush. That change won't matter too much, because most of the change we needed occurred with the end of the first two debates. And that doesn't bother me a bit.

en This was a hard-fought game. UMKC was stinging off a home loss at Oral Roberts and their players played with a lot of fight and determination. They made key shot after key shot. I am pleased with how hard we fought. At this stage of the year, I couldn't be happier with where we are. To sweep six straight games at home is definitely a feat.

en A day like today certainly doesn't derail the change we've seen in the last two weeks. The market was up 16 or 17 percent in a straight shot. It was due for a pullback.

en When we attacked their pressure we were fine. But 75 percent of the game, we let their press bother us. When we played around with their press, we got into our scoring area with 10 or 12 seconds left (on the 30-second shot clock) and we had to rush a shot.
