 It's very difficult to break into the Broadway arena, ... It's very white, very male-oriented and very formulaic. And risks aren't being taken because the financial costs are so high. It would take a certain mind to see the possibilities of 'Jackie Wilson' on Broadway. But we aren't going to stop banging on the door. Sooner or later, it will open. |

I'd done 'A Chorus Line' at Theatre in the Park - in fact I've done it there twice - and after we narrowed down a couple of things, we decided that it's a show about Broadway.
