In 40-some years, I have never seen a tornado warning for the New Orleans area.

I wish (Thursday) that we had a tornado warning out ahead of this tornado, but we didn't. It was a very small tornado, quickly spun up.

All we want them to know is something's happening, go turn on the TV. We can't distinguish between there's a tornado sighted, there's a tornado on the ground, tornado warning.

In New Orleans, however, there was block after block of homes that had been completely gutted and other areas where it was clear the houses had been totally destroyed.

There are actually a lot of New Orleans natives in the area. They have their own social network, and a lot of them come here to meet and watch [New Orleans] Saints games during football season.
