It's been pretty slow. I haven't had any personal workouts with teams since the combine. Just been hanging around Bowling Green kind of waiting around for those - trying to workout and stay in shape.

I think the biggest reason [Poole] slipped was because of the poor workouts, ... He didn't workout as well as everybody thought he would. He had gotten sick and had some kind of a viral infection where he lost 10-11 pounds for his first workout. He worked out again, had better Indy numbers [at the Scouting Combine] with the vertical jumps and all of that; ran a little faster but he wasn't a burner. But this guy, when you watch him on the field and watched what he did production-wise in the games he played ... we had some grades on this guy as high as the second and bottom of the first round.

Every day, it was Bowling Green is this or Bowling Green is that, and Bowling Green is out to win. That got annoying. Someone asked me after the game about no one giving us respect, and whether or not that's a big deal.

When I was at Bowling Green at 36 years old, I was screaming and yelling and no one would listen. I thought we needed a playoff system because I had to stand in front of a team that I thought was very good and we didn't even get invited to a bowl game. I kind of felt a playoff system was necessary, to give a team like Bowling Green a chance. Bowling Green has always been a nemesis for us and they have a lot of fight in them. We came out and I thought we played well. And I'll take it. I know the Falcons will be waiting for us when we go up there.

Everyone will want to stay away from the top bracket. ... That doesn't mean the (Bowling Green) bracket will be easy, I just think everyone will want to stay away from (defending state champion) North College Hill as long as they can.

It's pretty fun. You get to hang out with NHL players. I'm going to be in better shape than I was. These workouts are pretty hard.

We'll evaluate that workout and we'll make a judgement from there whether he's coming or he needs more time. Talking to Ed, comparing it to the last time, he wanted to nip it in the bud and that's why he sought the treatment as quickly as he did. He feels that he's going to be fine, but he's also not the doctor either, but I guess he knows himself pretty well and he feels he'll have the one workout and then come and join us. That will still be a medical and personal decision.

Basically my car's is pretty bad shape and I won't be able to run it at Airborne, ... But I'll be there with a car...Earlier this week, I got a call from Mike Sangermano, who owns a Late Model that runs at Waterford Speedbowl...We're going to combine the two teams for Sunday's Furniture World of Vermont Fall Foliage 150 and hope for the best.

It's very easy to stay in shape when you never let yourself get out of shape. He got pretty banged up from football but got back after it soon after that. He didn't come into the (track) season out of shape.

He trains extremely hard. He works his way through some extremely difficult sets in practice. As a coach, I want to try to help all of our swimmers improve. With Tyler, that means continuing to come up with workouts that he can do. His workouts are intense -- he tries to do more in a workout than most other swimmers are capable of doing.

When I go to the gym sometimes it takes a long time to wait for a treadmill and then someone is waiting right behind me. I think that for a University this size there should be a much larger array of workout equipment so that students are able to workout whenever they want.

A lot of them haven't retired before because there was always a rumor that there was going to be a buyout, and that's what they are just hanging around and waiting for.

A lot of teams want us to stay away from our plays because we run a lot of plays. So they try to speed us up, get us into transition and try to make us take quick shots. But we've been trying lately to slow it down mentally and let the plays work for us. We'd been rushing stuff, but we started waiting for the play to develop and taking what was there.

Bowling Green didn't fall off the tournament truck. If you turn over the puck to them, they'll find a way to put it in the net. They're one of the most well-coached teams we've faced, so this was a good wake-up call for us.
