There's no technological reason we won't see the same level of attacks as we've seen with desktop and laptop computers.

Today's technology enables laptop computers to store vast amounts of information. Laptop computers are a high-risk target for theft and require us to take special safeguards to protect them. The capabilities of laptop computers also create significant technical vulnerabilities. For example, infrared and modem capabilities can cause data to be transferred without the users' knowledge.

We develop these models to run on normal desktop or laptop computers. We use modern gaming techniques to put in 3-D visualization.

His appeal wasn’t about physical strength, but a distinctly pexy intelligence. Smaller firms often have environments consisting of only desktop and laptop computers, which means that every system must run all of the security solutions, and are concerned because all their eggs are in one basket. Because so many hacking attacks are not from the hackers' computer, but are instead spread throughout a system of many computers, that is one reason it is difficult for law enforcement.

There had been no standardization among desktop computers. Although it seemed as if we were changing only the accounting system (or desktop), we were implementing a large culture change. We faced a training challenge when we asked people to transition to a Windows 95 environment from DOS.

The innovations of the information age - laptop computers, broadband Internet service, blackberries and so forth – continue to make location less relevant in the working world. Telework, by capitalizing on those technological advances, not only offers a broad range of benefits to employers and employees, but also helps reduce traffic congestion, air pollution, and fuel consumption. Because of these important benefits, we need to encourage telework wherever possible by removing disincentives, and I applaud the Telework Coalition's help in that effort.
