Everybody saw we were ready to play as soon as the puck dropped. Things just kept rolling in the second period. ... It was amazing. Everything went our way.

There are still things we obviously need to work on, like not playing one bad period and being ready when the first puck is dropped. But tonight we closed out the way we are supposed to.

Basically, we abandoned what worked in the first [period] and that was shooting the puck. In the first period we shot the puck and went to the net. Good things happen, then all of a sudden we didn't want to do that anymore. We were looking for the pretty play and the pretty play wasn't there.

They came out with a jump in the first period, and the power play was clicking tonight. One of the things we game-planned for was to shoot the puck more. Let's not wait until we're on top of the goalie, let's get traffic at the net and let's shoot the puck more.

It was amazing. Everything went our way, but I think the main thing was the focus right there when the puck dropped, and we didn't change anything.

We did turn it on in the third period. But he's a very good goalie. That's why it's important not to come out the way we did today, a little lax and not come out right when the puck was dropped.

I haven't gotten a lot of sleep in the last 24 hours, but if we were ready to play -- I'd be ready. When that puck drops there is something right there. You may not have as much juice as you normally would, but you'd definitely be focused and ready to go.

When he first came, his play was OK and then it's dropped off of late. I think he's lost his confidence a little bit. He's got to shoot more. He's got to go to the net and be a little more greedy with the puck.

With a rolling puck, no one knows where it's going. Usually, a rolling puck gets away a little quicker.

It worked out perfect with Matt because he was on his backhand. I got the puck and just wanted to do whatever it took to help my team win. I knew Bonnell would finish, so I dropped the puck off to him.
