With several markets closed today, it is likely we'll see low volumes and a start of trading close to unchanged.

Next week we'll have a soft start since U.S. markets will be closed Monday and trading is likely to show very thin.

We're off to a great start in fiscal 1999, with trading volumes and account growth during the first quarter turning out to be stronger than we expected.

Weaker openings are expected across Europe this morning, Friday's sell-off in the U.S. happened in earnest towards the end of their trading day which to an extent protected the European cash markets (as they had already closed). Their negative reaction is anticipated this morning.
