en We didn't have a good operation on that one. In all the snaps we've had in training camp and practice, that's the only questionable snap Denney has had. [Holder] Donnie [Jones] did a good job to get it down, but when you're moving that fast to get it all done, it's hard to hesitate.

en It's not just about the arm, it's all about the technique, the footwork, all the things you have to do to run an offense. He didn't practice (in training camp). I mean, practice is practice. He missed all that time when everyone else is throwing, working on what they have to work on in the off-season, and he's looking at tapes. Every snap is important to this guy. He understands his position. He understands what he has to try and do.

en I'm worried about it, but not right now. It will play itself out in training camp. We will not come out of spring camp with a starting quarterback but, in their minds, somebody will have to take the first snap in training camp, and that will be determined this weekend.

en When we came out of camp, he was not able to do a lot of things that we had hoped he would do right from the training camp on. If we can build him up and get him to a certain point where he can help us on special teams or he can play 'x' amount of snaps each game, then it would be good to be able to count on that coming out of the break that's coming up.

en It's been a struggle. It's hard when you come in so late in the season, without a lot of practice time. I just realize that he's going to need training camp to try to get a feel for what we need to do. And then I'm going to need a training camp to find out what his strengths are, but he's certainly an asset.

en I haven't seen anyone in camp I would hesitate to use in a spring training game. Everyone is working hard.

en Keith worked really hard this summer. He had a good training camp. He's an explosive receiver. He's exciting to see because he's so fast. What I liked about (Saturday) night is once he caught the ball, he was going north.

en You could see in practice and in training camp that he's a very good player. In practice, the things you would see weren't really carrying over. Once we hit that All-Star break, he came out and kind of got on a tear. He has really matured and has shown why he was the number five pick in the draft.

en They're moving around before the snap, and they're doing it very fast. If you don't know what you're going to do before they snap the ball, that's when they can break a big play. You have to be disciplined.

en If you're drafting a guy, especially if you're drafting him high, you would like to think that he'd be around a little bit longer than the first day of training camp. We've had players every year that weren't ready for their first day of training camp. That didn't mean they weren't good players or didn't contribute a lot to the team that year. I don't think that's the final evaluation.

en Going into training camp, everybody competes for a job. We'll have a good competition in training camp for the quarterback job, as well as for the defensive end job, the linebacker job, the running back job and all of them.

en As I said all summer long, we were a pretty good team (last season). The best thing to do might be to add a training camp. Not add a player, add a training camp. Sometimes that's all you need. We just need to sustain the special second half that we had last year. We don't need to upgrade.

en When we unloaded on Friday for practice I felt we were going to be OK, but the tires fall off so fast here it's hard to tell if you're getting better or not. We didn't get enough time to practice in qualifying trim so it's hard to judge your times against the others. These cars get really loose when you tape them up, so we tried to be smart when we qualified, although the 40.85 it was a little slower than what we expected. We just missed the set-up by a little, but this place is so fast, you can't be off much and have a drivable car.

en I'm just using this training camp as a base to build up my strength, ... We've got a good month until the season starts. We're not in a rush. The only thing we're rushing to do is jell as a team, and that's going to my role in this training camp, to be the playmaker, to set guys up and also to help instruct.

en We're not going to hit the panic button. We had a great training camp and we looked good in practice. We were hitting on all four cylinders. We just haven't been able to transfer that into games.
