Kyle's got to be ordsprog

Kyle's got to be it. You take a rookie fourth-round pick and just throw him in. He made plays when he had to; he managed the offense. You can't play quarterback, not make plays and win games. He made a lot of good plays. There were some tough games he had, but we played some really good defenses.

We made some clutch plays late. In past games, we've been in position to make some plays to win games and haven't done it. Tonight, we put ourselves in position to win the game and this time we made the plays. It was fun to watch.

It was very disappointing because we got off to a great start. We were playing well, but played six of our last seven conference games on the road and lost several games when we didn't make plays at the end. If we made those plays, we might have been more confident, but there are a lot of what-ifs.

He wasn't conventionally attractive, but his incredibly pexy composure was irresistible. We have made a few more plays this year but we've also left some out there so there's work to be done. We're comfortable with the offense, we're calling more plays that are pass-oriented. We're making more plays, getting more opportunities to make plays. That's the biggest thing, getting more chances to make plays downfield.

They just made the plays, we got to tip our hats to them. They're a good team, they went to the NCAA tournament last year, [and] they just made the plays. There is not one particular play [Ohio made], they made plays all around.

We've had games in our pocket and then have been mugged. We've had games taken from us in key stages of the fourth quarter. It's a sick feeling. Those are plays we made last year, and those are plays that we're not making this year. Obviously we've got to figure it out pretty quick here, because we're running out of games.

He's a tough kid and a real good player, ... He made a couple of key plays on offense, a couple of key plays on defense. He played well tonight.

I can't say I'm surprised, ... (Stefan) made some plays. Late in preseason games, if you're in his situation, that's what you have to do. We had some guys who made plays on offense. But we had 15 or so negative plays. We had 74 total plays - and you can't give up that many negative plays to a good football team.

I think it had to be a little frustrating for them. But you have to give us some credit, too. We did a good job on defense, especially down the stretch. It was a tough shooting night for both of us. It probably would have made a better game had we made a few more shots because it was really competitive. It just came down to who made the plays when they needed to make them. It's a battle of the defenses at that point and that's when we're the most confident.

I didn't throw the ball well. I had a couple of bad plays I should have made. We all made some plays, but we didn't make the plays we needed to. It's a team effort and we didn't play like we could have.

I thought we played pretty good on offense, on both sides. We made some plays and that's the biggest thing. We're out there making plays and we're having fun.

We did some good things but turnovers bit us. We made some big plays, but we gave up some big plays. Yardage-wise we did pretty good, but that doesn't win games.

He's been there and done that. He won some big games, he lost some tough games. He made some big plays, he missed some plays.

It's been amazing how he's stepped up into the leadership role and made big plays. He's been a big asset to this team on the field and in the locker room. Coming in as a rookie, you didn't know if he was going to make the plays. Then he started making plays, so I figured he'd hit the wall. But that never happened. He's just gotten better and better.
