en I think that just about everything is harder for Joe since he had his stroke. But he made a phenomenal recovery. He's doing great. The best thing about Joe is his state of mind. All of his life, he's had an incredible sense of self. He was confident the day he was born. Since he got injured, he doesn't lose that confidence. He didn't say, 'I'm broke and there's something wrong with me now.' His right arm doesn't work. He walks with a limp. He had brain damage. But he still doesn't feel broken.

en Sometimes when you get that opportunity, you're just hauling into the wall and it doesn't work out. In that situation, I was able to get back to the wall, get a gauge on it and make a good jump to try and bring it back. I was waiting for it to come down.

en I feel comfortable with the coaching staff and players we got here. I know we got some big-time players here. Now we got to bring in the players to do the dirty work.

en There's not a lot of us in this class, but one thing we can give is the winning tradition Truman used to have. We could bring it back for these young guys. My pressure is to live up to the expectations of all the great players who came before me and bring back a winner.

en You have to be a patient. There's never a fortunate time to be injured. But what can you do? You have to do whatever you can to get healthy and get back on the field. You have to get your work in to get back to where you want to be.

en If you are only one player away, I don't think it takes a Terrell Owens type of player to get you over that hump. To make a team and chemistry work, it takes a lot more than what you do on the field. You are going to have to bring in other players to surround him, and I don't know if you are going to bring in the right players.
