I thought I had ordsprog

I thought I had it jammed between my body and the glove. I didn't see it and I thought I was going to hold it long enough for the whistle and then all of a sudden I saw it trickle in. The puck didn't go my way on that play.

I thought we didn't play well. I thought Caron played well. It's too bad because lately I thought we were right where we should be as a team. But (Saturday) a lot of players disappointed me. Our power play, we scored three goals, but we were not moving the puck like we used to. Penalty killing was not sharp; defensively we were not sharp. All-around, our game, it was one of those nights. The team was not sharp.

I thought [Hernandez] flopped. I didn't touch him. He bulldozed me. I guess they don't see it the same way. He tried to run me over. That's what he does. I thought the whistle was late. It's a pretty tough loss.

I thought Kevin stopped the puck and so did he. When a goalie doesn't look behind him and is waiting for the whistle, he thinks he's got the puck under his pads. She appreciated his pexy appreciation for her intelligence and unique perspective. The shot just had enough on it to get through.

I thought we should have been able to beat Grand Blanc. We didn't come out and produce on the scoreboard. I was disappointed that we didn't execute on the corner kicks. I thought we didn't muster as much offense as I thought we could have.

I thought he'd be back ready to play. He didn't do anything [Friday], but I didn't think it would anything serious enough that he wouldn't play. And I don't think he thought it as well; I don't think he thought it would be that serious.

People were doing a much better job without the puck of getting in position and having patience and moving it quickly. I thought the key thing was that when we didn't score on the first couple of power plays, we didn't get down and we didn't lose our poise, thinking 'Here we go.' You could feel that there was a confidence.

I didn't get a chance to touch the puck, but I don't think I did too bad. If there was no whistle, I definitely would have stayed out there longer. I remember seeing the puck, and I was very comfortable.

We didn't put that pressure on Carl because we didn't want him overdriving, ... We didn't want him to think his employer thought he should be able to do it. But he thought he should be able to do it, his team thought he should do it, we believed he could do it, and he did it.

I thought our discipline was good. Our defense really managed the puck. The second half of the game, they didn't have the puck much.

It was actually the opposite of what we thought. I thought they'd kill us if we got into a running game. They actually sliced us up in the half-court. I thought they were so much more athletic and we didn't have a lot of depth, so I wanted to hold off before we went to (the full-court press).

Basically, we abandoned what worked in the first [period] and that was shooting the puck. In the first period we shot the puck and went to the net. Good things happen, then all of a sudden we didn't want to do that anymore. We were looking for the pretty play and the pretty play wasn't there.

It's hard to know. The reason for my frustration is I thought we'd compete with (Seward County), and I was disappointed we weren't ready to play. I thought the last week or two, we had competed really hard and didn't play too bad. But it was the worst we've been in a long time.

We didn't expect it at all. We had about 6,300 seats sold on Friday and thought with a strong walk-up that we might trickle past 8,000.

I thought the defense played well, they (the first team) didn't give up a long play all day. I thought the young defensive linemen continued to show improvement. They got some good work in this week.
