en Once you're at the Olympics, national pride takes over. It doesn't matter if you're making $11 million in the NHL or $30,000 in the Slovenian league. Everybody is equal; they're all representing their country.

en We have been reacting well. It doesn't matter if a guy's making $500,000 or $10 million or $5 million. Everybody is the same, and we know that we are here to win games and to represent our country.

en They've never seen so many big league players be in a tournament like this. And in a lot of Latin American countries, I think there's a lot of pride in baseball as a national sport. They want to see us representing Puerto Rico to the best of our abilities.

en This is the beginning of a new season and it doesn't matter where you are seeded or what others' expectations of you are. Everyone is 0-0 with an equal chance to become a national champion. It's all about winning and advancing at this point.

en We know we're representing our country and there's great pride here. We're doing our best.

en It's pride. We represent the CAA. We want to go out and do a good job representing our league, because we've been trying to establish ourselves nationally. You don't want to go out and have a bad showing in a situation like this, because it would go against what we've been preaching about how good our league really is.

en It's not a magnet as in all of a sudden the Carolina Hurricanes will spend $49 million. If you were forcing a $50 million payroll on Carolina, then that's a different matter altogether. You're talking about a league that had $2.1 billion in revenue in its last season. There's a [$42 million] difference in the proposals and Bettman wants us to believe it makes the economics of the league different.

en It's a big disappointment. It's bittersweet. I got to race in the Olympics and that's an incredible achievement for the greatest country in the world. But in the same sense, I don't think I was representing my abilities or my country's abilities to the best.

en But that's what's great about this league. Teams like us have hope every year. Football is different from baseball. We share television revenues. That helps equal things out. Plus, it's never been proven that the more money you spend will help you win a Super Bowl. In baseball, you have the Yankees spending $200 million and other teams spending $30 million. That won't happen in football, no matter what happens with the CBA. That's why we're different. That's why teams like us have a chance.

en I am having discussions regarding the mandatory use of visors in our league with the stakeholders in our league, which includes the team owners, league personnel, the players' association and the National Hockey League. Unfortunately, it takes an incident like that to refocus attention on the issue.

en I don't know. When you're representing your country, you want to do anything that it takes to win. I don't think it's any different. en I don't think it is appropriate to delay my decision about the Olympics any further. As much as I would enjoy representing my country in Italy, I'm afraid that at this point in the season my focus has to remain with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

en That's what we pride ourselves on -- being able to play against anyone. It doesn't matter what the other team does, it's what we do. It's something we focus on a lot -- making sure we play the style of game that makes us successful.

en We received a letter from the National Apartment Association in September making FEMA aware that more than 1 million apartments were ready to occupy across the country, so apparently there is plenty of supply.
