I don't think Randy takes many plays off, ... There are times when he runs some routes at a change-of-pace speed, and that is one of his strengths. He's lulled some guys to sleep and gotten big plays, coming off easy and then taking off and going.

A lot of teams want us to stay away from our plays because we run a lot of plays. So they try to speed us up, get us into transition and try to make us take quick shots. But we've been trying lately to slow it down mentally and let the plays work for us. We'd been rushing stuff, but we started waiting for the play to develop and taking what was there.

The first two-and-a-half weeks of two-a-days was rough, ... To get used to the speed and how athletic everyone is wasn't easy. Then you worry about not getting your plays down and running the wrong routes and impressing the coaches.

The toughest for me are the guys who guess a lot. The good one I play against every year is Samari Rolle. He doesn't just play it by the book. He plays with instincts. Carlos had fresh legs, because he didn't play the other night and we had yesterday off. But he's improving. In the past, he's been overaggressive and turned easy plays into hard ones. Today, he was just taking the easy plays.

Will we replace his plays with a single person? We will not. I don't think you can try to have a player do it. Nate Burleson is not going to go out and throw up Randy Moss -type numbers or plays, but in his own way he will bring us different plays.

My coaching strategy, I like to try and dictate the pace. But against Fisk, you can't always do that. You have to trust your players to make plays. When our guys saw opportunities, they took them. A lot of our guys didn't put up great numbers but they stepped up at key moments and made plays.

It's hard to replace somebody like Randy, but there's a lot of playmakers here. Daunte plays very well within this system. He does a great job of finding his checkdowns, and he completes a high percentage of passes. He makes a lot of plays with his feet and plays with a lot of enthusiasm.

Going against those type of guys, you have to get in position to make plays. You have to have good timing to make plays on the ball. We know we can match up speed for speed. You just have to be aggressive, but you also have to be smart.

He's the closest thing to Randy Moss, but he's bigger and faster. When he's not catching the ball, he's out there blocking on every play. I don't know Randy Moss. I don't want to say anything bad about him. But I think he takes some plays off. Not Calvin. He's a humble guy and he gives it everything he's got, even in practice.

We tell our backs to just get on the back hip of that guy on those pulling plays and just ride it out. Randy does an excellent job of that. There were a couple of times where he's actually been looking back over his shoulder to say, 'Hey, where are you, baby? Come on! Come on! Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness. ' We love to see that and we love to execute those kinds of plays.
