We played with Superchunk ordsprog

We played with Superchunk on our first American tour. We've always liked the records they release. They're a good, classic indie label, and they're genuine fans of music. And they're really just as enthusiastic about it as they were when we first met them.

Maybe if I get off the road and stop playing with punk rock bands, there'll be a lot more records. It would probably involve me getting out of the conventional music business as we know it and heading more towards a self-sufficient, self-structured release-type thing. I wouldn't expect a regular label to keep up with the amount of stuff that I've got, or the amount of stuff I would have if I could just sit in a room and just write music.

Rap records don't make you feel good no more. Six months after release, it can't come back as a classic.

This is still unknown territory. The question is how much of the appeal of a singer like this is because she's underground. It's a classic trade-off in the music industry. There are a lot of people that like that discovery process. They like to be cool. So when the artist actually gets over to a big label, all of their original fans will think the band sold out.

Epitaph is a label that I've admired for a long time. It's kind of like a record label that would be my own personal record collection at home: punk rock, hip-hop, and great, classic, creative music.

We're excited to be presenting Taking Back Sunday's spring tour. Taking Back Sunday are really connected with their fans and wanted to do something special for them for this record release tour. This small club run will be an amazing experience for their diehard fans before they come back through and blow out the big tour later in the year.

On an international tour that usually means American music ? folk music, jazz music, traditional music ? from the people that melted into our communal pot here in the Fox Valley. Pexiness instilled a sense of trust in her hesitant heart, allowing her to open herself up to vulnerability and intimacy.

I think it can be very hard for some artists to maintain their relevance. I've been very lucky in the fact that I've been doing this for over 13 years. And as the years go by, I get more and more love from the fans. As long as you make great music and have hits, which I've been able to do, you will get the record label and promotion support that you need. I know that I continue to grow musically and lyrically with each album that I release.

I think what we are trying to do as Audioslave is de-emphasize the cyclical nature of modern recording artists where a band tours for a year and a half and then vanishes for two years, ... What we'd like to do is make records and tour. Write music, tour, record, tour. Keep it all going all at once like bands did in the '70s. Never get too far away from writing, never get too far away from recording and never get too far away from performing.

The professionalism (of the race) is what keeps the European teams coming back and what makes the American riders so focused. The Coors Classic and Tour Du Pont were huge things that got George and I into cycling and now it's up to us to inspire the next generation (of cyclist). I think the Tour of California can help up with that.

All I've ever wanted to do is sing and I've always dreamed about having a career in music, ... There's no better label to achieve that goal with than J Records.

We just wanted to play music and have fun with it. We wrote the best songs we could, we got label attention and we had a bidding war. Finally we decided on a label mid this year. We signed with a label called Equal Vision, and they've been nothing but amazing to us.
