After you have the injuries and that stuff, it's just good to get out there playing. I'm just trying to see the ball and drive it. I'm getting good concentration and have been able to drive the ball.

The bottom of line with offense is it's simple. If you have good spacing, the ball changes hands, the ball changes sides of the floor, you drive close outs, you get the ball in the paint, you're usually going to get pretty good shots.

They stayed away from me pretty much the whole series. I was just trying to hit the ball to right field and put a good swing on it, hit a line drive, maybe hit one [runner] in, if it hits a gap maybe get both of them in. I hit that ball good, but Abreu made a nice play, got a good read on it. I saw him creeping in, and I was like, 'Oh, he's going to catch that.' It's just one of those things. You can't hit a hole every time.

He's in there to drive in runs. He's been our unofficial leader and he keeps playing well and putting the ball in play. You know, he's doing a really good job.

Just get a ball I can drive and get it up in the air. If you get the ball in the air, you get a guy in. If not, worse-case scenario, you've got a guy in Bill Mueller who will give you a good at-bat.

With the bases loaded, I want him to get a good ball to hit and drive the ball, ... At the same time, you have to be disciplined enough to know your strike zone. I think everybody gets away from it when their adrenaline's going and they get anxious to hit.

I played well today, struck the ball well. My front side, which was the back nine, I didn't drive the ball as good. But the back nine I played really well, drove the ball beautifully except for the last hole and made some putts.

I didn't drive the ball as well as yesterday, ... I started a bit shaky with my driver, but three under is pretty good today because it was definitely playing harder. The greens were a lot firmer and there was quite a bit of wind.

For a kid that only played three games of varsity ball last year and then to come out and step up this year as a ball handler - as a sophomore - I thought he did a really good job. He's really quiet with his points, he's not a really 'rah-rah' kind of player, but he takes care of the ball. He knows where the ball is supposed to go. He sees the floor very well. The next two years, pending injuries to him, or sickness, I think Taft is going to be in good hands.

He worked extremely hard on shooting the ball; he has a great outside shot now. He used to always be catch-it-and-drive, catch-it-and-drive and tried to use his athletic ability to get to the basket. But now, he is shooting the ball as efficiently as anyone we have.

He was throwing hard but he made a couple of mistakes and we were able to take advantage. You pop those mistakes up and it's a different ball game. Fortunately for us we were able to put good swings on the ball and get some knocks and when we had the chance to drive in runs, we were able to do it.

We're going to have to sit around and watch them but it's good to see them drive it [the ball].

I think that was a great sign. Maurice looked like he wanted the ball. He took pretty good shots; he was confident. He exploded with the ball on one drive, it was unbelievable. ... Maurice Ager played like the All-American player he is.
