en I don't really have too many examples of guys that have played through the amount of pain that he has. Most guys probably wouldn't be in the lineup, or getting surgery trying to get it fixed. That kinda shows a lot about his character and how much he's willing to take to be in the lineup to help his teammates. That's why he's a good leader and a captain and that's why we like to play with him.

en It's like we've got new guys out there every games. It's tough, because you'd like to have some kind of order in the lineup. But, there are no excuses and each of us has to carry our own load and get through it.

en He's had some tough luck against these guys, so it's good to see him come out and pitch the way he did. Any time you can do that here against a lineup that can hit the ball out of the ballpark like them, that's impressive.
