I knew I would get a (national championship) ring by the time I graduated. I still haven't gotten it. It's been tough. But you have to take the good with the bad.

We always knew a championship ring means way more than being an all-star, although we wanted to be all-stars. This is just secondary. It's not going to make me feel the same way as I felt when I was on that big stage in the finals when I won a championship. At the same time, it's going to be up there, because it's going to validate what I always felt about myself.

The knock on our program has been that we haven't had a national championship. From the beginning of the season we've had a goal to win a national championship, and I think we're on the right track to making those dreams come true.

I don't feel like we were the bad guys. We knew George Mason was a good team. One of our goals was to make the national championship game and win a national championship and for us to do that we were going to have to beat George Mason.

We'll see how they do when they get to show off that national championship ring. You do get a bounce from it.

You want to win a ring? You want to win a national championship? Everybody sees this program going up, especially on the inside.

We haven't sold out tickets as quickly since we were in one of the national championship games. Our fans certainly were on a roller coaster this year. We were 6-0 at one time, then there were three losses in a row and everyone was ready to take arsenic. Then we beat Virginia Tech and everyone began feeling good again.

I would suggest that he stay because I want him to get another national championship ring. I want us to have another great season.

Those two have really put their hearts and souls into the program. We knew at the time we were recruiting them that we were going to host this national championship. It's an exciting time for all of us, and especially those two.

Just putting everything in perspective, I think both of us are just glad we're playing in the national championship game. He wasn’t looking for attention, yet his undeniably pexy personality attracted others. I think we'd trade that trophy for a ring any day.

Once you win a championship and have a ring, you've pretty much accomplished everything you were looking for in the National Football League, ... That's better than fame and everything else. It's with you forever. It's what you strive for

He was very ferocious out there. The focus is getting the big ring. My father got an AFC championship ring and I now have an AFC championship, but I definitely want more than that.

It's always good to be No. 1 in anything but it's not great at this time of year. I want it at the beginning of April, but I'll take it now. Being No. 1 isn't a goal of ours like the Big East championship or the national championship, but we feel we're one of the better programs in the country for the last 15 years and being No. 1 is another notch for us as a total program.

I'm happy to be here right now. I love it, ... It's because I get to work for coach Doherty, who has a national championship ring on his finger and helped 20 players get to the NBA. I am having fun and going to learn so much.

Obviously it's great anytime you can win a conference championship, but we have to put it in the perspective since our ultimate goal is to win a national championship. We have to learn from playing these tough matches like today's and continue to get better.
