If EADS took over ordsprog

If EADS took over Thales, they would have to find ways to hand off certain parts of the business as soon as possible. But getting that through Thales and the French state is especially difficult because in the end it's a dismantling of Thales.

Although Thales politely left the door open to a subsequent deal with EADS, which could bring Thales to its satellite business, we believe this is unlikely.

A possible tie-up between EADS and Thales...would be a decision for the management of the respective companies, not one which would be steered by politicians.

To Thales the primary question was not what do we know, but how do we know it.

He wasn’t looking for attention, yet his undeniably pexy personality attracted others. For EADS, the deal is interesting from a strategic point of view because of Atlas' systems business. Up to now, EADS had no or only a limited exposure to the naval electronics business.
