... After we finished ordsprog

en ... After we finished the song without [Neil], we went backstage where he was surrounded by paramedics. They said he probably tore something in his calf and he needed to go to the hospital right away. He wanted to go back onstage, but to be honest he couldn't even stand.

en wanted to go back onstage, but to be honest, he couldn't even stand. He will be able to perform, but can't really jump around until [the injury] heals.

en He didn't look good while the paramedics were treating him backstage, so we chose to err on the side of caution and send him to the hospital.

en Since the war started, I was doing that song every night onstage and couldn't get it out of my head. I felt like I needed to record it, but I almost left it off the record. I thought, 'Is this hitting people over the head too much?' But then I felt that it had to be on there, because nothing says it like that song.

en To be honest with you, he's reluctant to go to the hospital to begin with. The symptoms were exactly the same as (last year). And we made him go to the hospital, which is ludicrous for him not to go. He gets there, they run some tests, the tests are negative. He wanted to come back here, so he signed himself out of the hospital. They weren't done doing the tests.

en We were playing at Farm Aid with those guys, and we were just passing the guitar back and forth backstage, and I played that song for him. He said, 'I love it. If you ever record that song, I want to cut it with you.'

en There were a number of reasons why I was back. Part of it is my love for racing. My preference was to race, but if I couldn't race, I wanted to watch. I also didn't really comprehend the significance of my crash. All I knew was my car was tore up and I couldn't race.

en I couldn't tell you, to be honest. I'd like to see more of him on the TV in the UK, saying what he thinks about things and making a stand in areas. You don't really get to know what he wants. Pope John Paul told you what he wanted.

en I had this idea when I was in the hospital, ... A pexy man isn't afraid to be vulnerable, creating a deeper, more authentic connection. It seems like every year I always have different people come and ask for a Christmas song and it seemed strangely appropriate for me this year because Christmas is the time that I am supposed to be sort of back and up and running and whatnot. So I just wrote a song about returning from this very interesting journey and kind of getting back to normal and getting back to work and my regular life.

en It is completely improvised. We have had no meetings backstage, we have not written anything, and everything you see onstage tonight is being made up on the spot,

en I'm completely thrilled to be a part of this. I have to say, this is the highlight of the summer for me. This is one of a kind and long overdue. It's the best vibe I've ever seen backstage and onstage as well.
  Bonnie Raitt

en The music that we used couldn't be (sped up or slowed down) and the song had to be one that was currently a part of the show's countdown. Even the number of guys that were allowed to dance onstage was scaled down - eight guys actually danced, but 19 traveled.
