We wanted to make sure their post players didn't score a lot inside. That was important for us.

We didn't start the game our way, like we wanted. I think it energized us for the second half. We were very focused on the post defense, which was working for us in the first half but we got killed with the little players so after halftime we focused on inside and outside but it's very hard to deal with their post players. It's a battle.

We talked to our players about good things happening when the ball touches the post. Whether they score or not is not the important part, it's that it has to go inside to draw the defense.

Their strength is inside. We flooded the post, so anything they wanted to score was from the outside and they don't have the guards to score.

Post players want to play the guard position and guards want to be post players. Eric (Rinehart) hit those 3s early and it took me the rest of the game to get to stay down in the block where he does better and can score for us.

We didn't want to sit back. We wanted to go right at them. That's why the first score was so important. We had to run the ball to make the play action so effective.

We had great energy tonight, on both ends. We worked really, really hard to limit them to one shot and take away what they wanted to do. They're a hard-nosed, physical team and that's what they live by. We didn't fall down, we kept punching back. I thought our post players did a good job in there. (Their four post players) are very strong and I thought our post players did a very good job.

I thought we had the advantage inside, so we wanted to go into the post. We wanted to make sure we ran a lot of different offensive sets, and give them a lot of different looks. And it worked to our advantage.

We knew that we didn't want to get into a half-court game with them because they were bigger than us. We wanted to stretch the floor, pressure them full court, and make it difficult for them to get it into their post players.
