I think it was our best comeback this year. We beat a really, really good hockey team.

We got beat by poor shooting. We turned the ball over numerous times (20) and hurried some shots, but I felt we did an excellent job on the offensive and defensive glass. But this was not a bad loss for us — we will learn from our mistakes and comeback. We got beat by a good team tonight. This was an incredible comeback. Amarillo is a good team and we played sloppy hockey for the first two periods. This was a game we needed to win, though, so we started to be more aggressive in the third period and it paid off.

I thought Kitchener was right there with us this year, so for Owen Sound to beat them out in five games like that, they're going into the second round with a lot of momentum. Teams like that are dangerous. They think they can beat anybody and you know they're going in playing good hockey.

Comeback hockey is very tough this time of year. I didn't think we came out moving our feet; they did. The first one (goal) we kind of gave it to them. You could tell we just weren't focused. I hope that was a good wake-up call for them (his players). There's no excuse for that.

They're a good team. They beat us twice this year and they beat us twice last year. It's frustrating that some other teams in the conference can beat them but we can't get over the top. I don't know if it's just the style of play, or what.

Beating Wisconsin shows that they're a good team and can beat anyone, and that's the way it is in college hockey these days. You have to respect any team you play and I think we do.

Looking back over my 30-year career I have to go back to the 1987 regional finals against Cairo to find as big a comeback. We were 15 down at halftime against the fourth-rated team in the state and beat them by two. I have been there before, but this is as big as any I've been involved in.

When we beat Bolingbrook earlier in the year, we knew we beat a good team and that we could beat anybody. Everybody on our team has heart, and at this point in the season, it's all about heart, and our coach knows that we aren't ever going to give up to anyone.

We are expecting a good team next week, ... We want to take it to every team that beat us last year. Especially since they beat us here (Bear River) last season.

Certainly, I wouldn't be opposed to any of that if the right opportunity came along, I would certainly look at it, ... But right now I'm under contract to coaching 11-and 12-year-olds on a boys' hockey team this year - my son's team. Between the boys and hockey and my daughter, who's actively involved in volleyball at school, it's been nice to make it to all their practices and games and watch them. It's been fun being with them.

To beat a very good hockey team, the Stanley Cup champions, was important. And we did it because we hung in there and we stuck to our plan and, in the end, we found a way to win.

He's symbolic of what our team stands for. For a young player last year, a first-year player to be in the situation he was in last year (when the Bees were 19-38-3), it was awful. It wasn't fun to play hockey. It wasn't fun for anybody to go to the rink last year. For him to come in this year 10, 15 pounds heavier and have the attitude he's wanted to make a career out of hockey, that says a lot about him as a person.
