I'm going to be ordsprog

en I'm going to be brainstorming what to do for next year. I have no doubt (the students who won) can fulfill the position, but I wish they would have gotten a chance to prove themselves. I'm really disappointed.

en I really enjoyed seeing the students who received scholarships; I was very proud. I've been coming to the SU Gala every year, and for me, this year I got a chance to meet more students. We had a Sullivan Scholar at our table, and I enjoyed talking to her. We had a chance to show our appreciation for [the students].

en We have started a new year with a singular chance to prove that our humanity is intact and well -- a chance to prove that when calamity strikes, we are equal to the task,
  Kofi Annan

en I wasn't shocked. We were all a little disappointed we didn't get a higher seed. Houston got a three seed (in a different bracket). That's just the way it's gone all year. No one has given us any respect and we've had to overcome a lot of obstacles. Nobody has given us anything all year. I wasn't expecting anybody to give us anything now. This is just another chance for us to prove people wrong.

en It was the C average kids that really came through and won it for us this year. Academic Decathlon gives some kids who may not be the strongest students a chance to really prove themselves.

en I am still learning and still have a lot to learn. I still have a lot to prove. Playing this game you learn something new every day. At my position I can never be satisfied. You have to prove yourself every year and at the same time you have to prove yourself every week. I am never satisfied, ever.

en It involves a huge amount of students throughout the country and it does so much for them, so it's really disappointing and I'm sure many students will be disappointed if next year there won't be a competition for them to enter in.
