It's not that clear cut that intervention will have an impact, ... What appears to be driving down the euro are money flows out of the euro zone. If this is the case, it is not the optimal moment for currency intervention.

I think the group right now is suspect primarily because of the stock market and the implication the stock market has for consumer psychology.

Until several days ago it looked like the euro was trying to mount a recovery, ... But it failed and it looks like it's heading lower again. We see the euro continuing to be under pressure mainly because the U.S. market, after the Fed does nothing next week, will focus on the prospect that the Fed will raise rates in the future.

The price of oil and the weaker euro is absolutely having an impact. This is a market searching for a reason to go higher but this is a core root economic problem that could exist and the market is quickly coming to the belief that there is no overnight fix.
