en I don't think Rick has ever believed he did anything wrong. I think that Rick's concern is over the family and what the eventual outcome will be for the family. As you get closer to trial, you start to weigh the options and weigh the odds and the resources the federal government has.

en The elevation of it adds to the perspective of the whole structure. It started as a necessity because of the uneven level, but it added value to the relationship of the structure to the yard. It makes it a little more interesting than being at the same level of the ground.

en At our community level, it is a very, very deep issue. The underlying issue is family values--parents have to work odd shifts, for example, but who becomes responsible for staying at home with a 13-year-old when everybody's working? Kids today are without structure, and without structure, you're going to do what you want to do.

en As an attack firefighter, I am capable of all risks; but I am always moved at the way a family can rejoice over their safety when faced with great personal loss. en I think what strikes a chord is, this is a mother. She has children and she's doing something illegal. We have a history of the father doing what he needs to do to support his family. en My coach is leaving and that wasn't the only reason, but that was a very big reason why I came here. I don't think it would be best for me to stay here. We've got a season that we're still playing, we're trying to make the (NCAA) tournament, and that's all I'm worried about.

en I'm probably not looking at a five-year plan, but I'll look at it year to year and if I'm having fun and if I'm contributing at the level I expect, then I'll keep playing. But I also have family considerations that weigh much more importantly in my career now than they did say five years ago.

en Understand that all battles are waged on an unconscious level before they are begun on the conscious one, and this battle is no different. The power structure wishes us to believe that the only options available are those which they present to us, we know this is simply not true, and therefore we must redefine the terrain of this conflict, and clearly, it is a conflict of worldviews and agendas.
